Started bodyboarding: 2005
Influences: Ben Player, Ryan Hardy
and Mike Stewart.
Achievements:
2007: State – 1st place, Qld Cadets round 1
: State – 3rd place, Cadets overall.
: Nationals – 7th place
2009: State – 2nd place, Qld juniors round 1.
Travels:
2008- travelled and surfed in WA for experience and photo opportunities.
2009- Travelled and experienced a month in Hawaii, staying with some
of the top riders , which improved my surfing and knowledge of
bigger waves. I also learned a lot about respect in and out of the water.
Plans:
2009 – To compete in all GCBC comps and all QAB’s
- Compete in the National titles.
- Travel to either Indonesia or Samoa, with a filmer and photographer.
- Travel to Hawaii once again to gain as much exposure as I can
And compete in the Pipeline Pro.
- Continue to refine my surfing and my attitude towards the sport.
Goals:
2009 - To make the top 4 in GCBC comps and QAB’S.
- To make the finals in the national titles.
- To get through the Pipe trials, and succeed to the quarter-finals.
- To get as much exposure as I can through magazines and videos to help raise my profile.
- In the future to become a professional bodyboarder, refine my
surfing to the point where I’m happy with every aspect of it and try to inspire the bodyboarders of tomorrow.
