Hailing from Avalon, a town thickly populated by young, ambitious bodyboarders, Ewan has emerged as a real force in more places than just the northern beaches. Consistently performing outstandingly in high caliber bodyboarding competitions nation wide, Ewan has previously taken out the opens division in the national state titles and has also found success overseas in such exotic locations as Portugal, Chile and Hawaii.

Having many more strings to his bow than just comp surfing, Ewan frequently pushes himself at numerous heavy waves on the east coast of Oz and has notched up more time surfing a vast variety of foreign waves than almost every other bodyboarder his age.
