Sydney’s latest supergrom, Alex Wilkie is surfing with the experience and power of riders many years his senior. Mr. Wilkie hails from the talent-rich suburb of Avalon and has broken away from the pack of style focused groms that infest the area. In the process he has received acclaim from some of the biggest names in bodyboarding, including world champion Ben Player and seasoned veteran Dave Winchester. Alex is also riding for No Friends clothing who couldn’t help but get him on board when they saw just how well this young man surfs.

Alex is now starting to take his skills beyond the Northern Beaches and can frequently be seen travelling the East Coast in search of waves where he can further refine his already superior skills on a bodyboard. Look out for this man as he matures from grommethood to surely take the reigns from contemporary bodyboarding’s big names.
