Dave Hubbard - No.1 in the World & Voted No.1 by his Peers

Custom X congratulates team rider Dave “Dubb” Hubbard for his outstanding achievements in the water in 2008.

Dubb is currently ranked No.2 in both the Mens Pro and DK Pro in the USBA tour rankings, proving his versatility in the water, and this week has been crowned the 2008 Drop Knee World Champion following the final event at El Confital in the Canary Islands. This was Dave’s third World Championship title after claiming victory in 1995/96.

Continuing his success in 2008, Dubb has also received another fantastic accolade, being voted the 2008 Riptide DK Peer Poll winner. The Riptide Peer Poll is a prestigious award voted by 40 of bodyboarding’s elite riders to judge who they believe is currently leading the way in the water. Dave has won previously in 2006 and has come to prominence again this year with his fantastic comp record, versatility both prone and drop knee, and incredible free surfing.
