Well after the BSC board demo in Cooly (which was insane by the way, if i were a 12 year old grom i probably would of had the best day of my life at that promo) Port Stephens Bodyboard club had their end of year presentation. It was another year with its ups and downs, downs being the 3 comps we had to cancel due to weather and waves, but on the up side we had one of the best comps in the clubs five year history last month with a clean 5-6ft east swell at box beach. Some kids that stood out in the conditions were young chaps Jacob Lee (eventual AAA overall winner) and Beau Earl, both making the final on the day. Tarnee Sams also deserves some credit for his division A overall win and his award for the years most outstanding rider, he also put together a short clip of the last contest on vimeo which you can check out on http://vimeo.com/2383967

Its great to see the club strengthening every year due the the young members love for the sport, Big Thanks to BSC for their continued support over the past couple of years, you guys have been a huge part of bodyboarding in the Nelson Bay area.

As for me, im off to Hawaii in feb and really looking forward to getting back there, got a good crew together there too which always makes for a fun trip. During Jan im heading too SA to hopefully score some waves and escape the summer flat spells im experiencing here. As Tom said earlier THRASH prems start this week so ill be seeing the Goldy BSC crew at the friday night prem no dout, really looking forward to it as i know Barnsey’s doesnt do anything in halves and im sure this is going to be his best work to date.
