The second and final BSC Bodyboard Demo Day for 2008 took place at Duranbah beach on the Gold Coast last Saturday and saw almost 100 eager participants sample a huge selection of bodyboards from over 16 of the best brands in the industry. A sunny day greeted all who attended, while Dbah threw up some fun 2-3 foot peaks that made ideal conditions for test-riding and demonstrations from the professional riders on hand. Chris James, Dave Winchester, Nick Ormerod, Mitch Rawlins, Joe Clarke, Dallas Singer, Simon Ormerod, Tom Smith, Michael Novy, Bill Winchester, Jose Marquina and many more pros frothed over sharing the waves with all the keen particpants and getting to meet so many amped groms.

After the success of both the Narrabeen and Coolangatta demo days we’d like to thank the people who took part in, and helped out with what has been a rewarding initiative for everyone involved. Almost 150 bodyboarders got to sample their dream boards and surf with the very guys that inspire them to ride a bodyboard. With the support of all our sponsors, pro riders and of course the bodyboarding public, we’re sure to expect even bigger things from BSC Bodyboard Demo Days in 2009!

Last Saturday the 15th of November saw the first ever BSC Bodyboard Demo Day take part at Narrabeen on Sydney’s northern beaches. Around 50 frothing participants turned up to sample over 100 boards from 16 of the best bodyboard manufacturers in the business. Dave Winchester, Chris James, Dallas Singer, Mitch Rawlins, Ben Player, Alex Bunting, Michael Novy, Jose, Max and many more professional riders were on hand to provide demonstrations and enjoy some fun 2-3 foot peaks with the participants. Groms and the older generation both jumped at the chance to pull a brand new signature model board out of its wrapping, wax it up and ride it alongside the very pro who designed it! A good time was had by all who attended and all the pros are amped at the prospect of doing it all again this weekend on the Gold Coast. Last Sunday the first ever Maroubra Bodyboard Club versus Sydney Bodyboard Club contest was  held at Whale beach on Sydney’s northern beaches. Dozens of competitors from both clubs, as well as spectators turned out to witness some high quality bodyboarding in some fun 2 foot peaks. The competition was fierce but always in good spirit and the final results saw SBC come out on top. Congratulations to all the SBC team members and MBB competitors for a great day of bodyboarding! We hope this event becomes an annual fixture!
