Chris James in Tahiti, New team rider and more news!

After returning home from a month long Aussie-wide wave hunting stint with a haircut that can only be described as thuggish, Chris James is now in the air on his way to Tahiti. The man who brings a new meaning to the expression ‘Short back and sides’ is hoping to score some big Teahupoo pits for the first time in his life, and with the bigwigs of the surfing world attending the Bells event at the moment, he’s picked a good time to test the waters.

BSC young gun Nick Perry has just picked up a sponsorship with Tiki wetsuits and he’ll be sporting the suits on the trip with Chris, where they’ll be accompanied by the likes of Ryan Hardy and Glen Thurston. The charts are looking good, so we wish the boys all the best of luck!

Gold Coast grom sensation Jimmy Williamson reports he’s having an amazing time in the Cook Islands, where shallow bowly pits, warm water and a chilled vibe are standard fare. Jimmy has been surfing a cracking peak right out the front of his accommodation for hours on end, with some sweet footage and shots assured.

We’re also very happy to announce the addition of another blazing young supergrom to our ranks. Tom Rigby is a name that you will be very familiar with - at 16 being the youngest rider ever to receive his own pro model. Science bodyboards and Iamnone clothing are already providing the man with their support and if his stellar form in Hawaii this season is anything to go by, Tom will be making his way to the top in a very swift manner. Welcome aboard Tom!
